GMMG or Magnapacks?

GMMG or Magnapacks?

Iv got a 87 GTA with a 500 horse small block and I want to know what exhaust to put on it. The car is not running right now and before I had the motor put in..I had Shorties that ran into true dual 2 1/2 magnapacks..they are glass packs from magnaflow..they sounded great..I loved it..should I go with Long tubes streight back into 3 in packs then turn downs under the back seats or do shortys into a y and go with the GMMG exhaust?

Touch choice. I'd say since you've already got the dual exhaust setup, just keep it as is and run the long tubes.

I don't recommend GMMG without a cat as it just flat out sounds better with a cat. Long tubes are a little tricky to run with a catalytic converter(s).

Having said that, a 500 HP engine with shorties, cats, and a GMMG would sound amazing.

I can't decide.

GMMG if you take the y pipe route, know a guy who is making like 600hp with this exhaust in his 35th SS

Classic chambered muffler for the true dual set up. These are the same mufflers used on the gmmg but for a true dual and or single muffler set up.

Magnapacks are just to deep, Im my opinion they are out.
