Exaust questions

I'm about to do a 305 to 350 swap and I was wondering what was a good cheap longtube + y-pipe combo. manifolds gotta go. It's an 84 z28 h.o. l69, putting in a mildly built 350. Has a t-5 tranny. Exaust is stock to the cat (2.75 inch) and then runs through a 3inch to a bullet muffler and then a h-pipe setup, not sure on the Y. Any suggestions?

Re: Exaust questions

It's not actually an H-pipe. It's just where the main I splits off at the rear into 2. I was half asleep in class when I wrote that.

I guess my real question is, Since my car has the t-5, do I have to find special long tubes, or will the standard hedman longtubes work?

Re: Exaust questions

I am 99% sure they will fit correctly, but the Y pipe is an issue.
No one makes Y-Pipes for long tubes, so they need to be custom made.
Either a exhaust shop special, or make your own. If you make your own, you can make it tuck nicer and look nicer than a shops. At the shop you run the risk of getting Mr. Iwantthisdownnowratherthantakethetimetodoitright.
