With than in mind, why not buy with a plan in mind, such as the following direct-fit three-inch system:

Hooker 2055's (Jeg's 520-2055). Catco high-flow converter (Summit CTO-9118). Hooker catback (Summit HOK-16823HKR).

Re: What do you think?

If your going to go with the 2055's, get them from www.JET-HOT.com they offer them for $50 cheaper than Summit and Jegs...in which case you could call summit, have them reach jethot and get you an even better price than them. Summit has a beat a price guarentee...so give them a call and let them know about jet hot and the fact they are cheaper.

Summit and Jegs have the 2055's

Jegs = $815 coated $449 uncoated

Summit = $806 coated

JET-HOT = $750 coated

I am getting my 2055's from jethot who is removing the tubes for $50, still making them cheaper than summit and jegs.

I already have. Do the upgrade once, correctly, even if you have to buy one piece at a time or save for the system. Your current budget is a bit short, IMO.

Re: What do you think?

I will agree with james and so will everyone else.

You COULD spend less than $500, but would most likely be back here in a year or so.

So if you want to replace headers back with good quality parts and the knowledge that they will probably outlast the car or even yourself...go with hooker 2055's, catco 9118 catalytic converter and a 3" catback.

2055's = $820
Cat = $140
Cat-back = $200-900

Total= $1160-$1860

Remember, you get what you pay for....

Believe me, it sucks. I havent driven my car since December 2006 in which case was when I bought it and drove it 3 miles to my house and started tearing it apart. Im STILL waiting to get my exhaust..
