2210 + Spohn Torque arm inside

Mounted 2210' on my GTA together with a Spohn torque arm.

- Made a new crossmember to lift the Y-pipe as high as possible.

Pipes are 3" and then 3.5"

( No time is spent on the looks, just want it out on the roads again )

What kind of clearance do you have now where the exhaust passes under the crossmember? I only have 3 inches, well probably 3 1/2 now since it's been over a few speed bumps lol.

Looks good. I wish I could tuck my exhaust up like that. Do you have any pictures of the 90 degree welded parts (close up or off the car)?

Do you plan on any strip action? If so, what size stall do you have? I was wondering if the TQ arm mount will take abuse, doesnt look like it will flex.

Re: 2210 + Spohn Torque arm inside

i'm sure that new crossmember is strong but it sure doesnt look like it. doesnt seem like much material there to hold new pieces together.

I would puta triangle gusset support up there

I want to do the same thing to my crossmember tho as i just dropped my motor in and looking at how the 2210's exit, i'd have to go slightly under the spohn member and its low...

Well se what happens this year, hopefully I will test it on a strip.
I think I'll need a 4L80E and strange rear also soon....

Stall is a street friendly ACT 9.5" 2400rpm

TQ arm mount is solid as it is on Spohns org crossmember.

Its pretty solid, Its more to it that you dont see in the pictures, BUT I will add some triangular support braces on it. Didnt want to do it before I had the Y-pipe made.

I hear you, Pipes under the spohn X-member will make tha car extremly low. The other way around it is to cut or rework the frame. I was thinking of doing it but since I didnt have the time to do it now I did it this way instead, when I put a 4L80E trans in I need to do a new crossmamber and y-pipe again and maybe then I'll rework the frame....

Nice fab work. Any way we could see some pics of the crossmember out of the car when you do your tranny swap?

BOTTLEDZ28 nice work. Kinda looks like mine.
Nice, I dont bother to grind the welds or paint mine...

The T-56 isnt as wide as the TH700 so you will have more ground clearence than with a TH700.

Will post some more pictures next week.
