follow me if you can. I know right off the bat that the floor would have to be cut and that makes me not want to do it. Lots of fab to do.

here it is: I have a 91 camaro and as you know it has the different GFX. now imagine the "scoop" near the rear tires.

okay now i was thinking i would love my exhaust to run out of the scoop and with a chrome bezel to keep the plastic from melting. so a "hidden" side pipe

Of course i looked and a pretty big chunk would have to be cut and re welded. basically a channel. The good part of that though is when i get my SFC the exhaust would not be in the way.

And i would have an electric cut out so the side pipes would be "straight pipes" while closed would be just normal restrictive quiet exhaust.

is it just a dream?

Not sure exactly what you mean there, perhaps a sleeve with an air gap between it and the exhaust pipe itself? If so, ceramic coated would make it an even better heat shield.

Getting the pipe routed under SFC's would be an issue. Unless you started routing the pipe to the side up by the wheel well.

I've never quite understood the disdain that's usually expressed on this Board for sidepipes. Perhaps it's because so many of our cars have GFX, which I don't.

well i'll try to get pictures made by Monday but actually through the GFX. and i figured about a foot of the pipe would have to be wrapped or ceramic coated. Just don't know how i would route the drivers side and how much of the interior would be taken up.

first let me say that, its your car and do what you want with it, and you may like this type of thing, but what you are trying to do would remind me of a mustang. and the first time i brought my debadged iroc-z to work, someone asked me when i got a mustang, i died a little inside.
