I just bought hooker 2055s and i was wondering if its a hard instal if i dont have a lift and only use ramps and jacks and jack stands? would it be a easy job anything need modified could a novice like me do it? i dont know much about anything and it sounds hard. The drivers side looks easy but the pass side looks really hard to work in. thanks for advice in advance

A lift makes it more comfortable, but doesn't make it more possible. Get it up high enough and secure enough, it can be done.
i did mine when we did the motor swap but our F.A.S.T. enginnere at work did a set on his 92 RS. he couldnt believe how easy they installed. the dr side drops right in from the top and the pass side goes up from the bottom. you will need to remove the starter and "possibly" the plugs. the pnly PITA will be putting in the header bolts.
2 tips on that, have a friend help for a 3rd and 4th hand and cut a slight slit on each end of where the bolt holes are on the gaskets. this way you can put 2 bolts in on each end and just drop the gasked in without alot of fumbeling. cut the slits on the bottom of the holes.

Just got done installing a set on a 92 Z28 yesterday. It wasn't that hard, just takes patience and time. You will be fine with just a jack and some jackstands. Make sure you soak the bolts down with PB Blaster to make removal easier. There are metal tabs next to some of the bolts that you have to bend back before you can remove them, those were a pain. Drivers side header went in easily from the top. Passenger side also dropped in from the top for me.
