Will this gasket match?

I have an 87 TPI with stock cast heads. I also have Hooker 2055 headers. My header gasket has blown out and I need to change it. I have a set of nice Percy aluminum gaskets that are square port 1.5 inches. Will it be fine to use this gasket, or will it hinder performance? I asked this question to a few people and they have said to use "stock" port gaskets, but I dont see much of a difference between "stock" shape and "square" shape. BTW the ones that came with the 2055's are round port and thats what Ive been using. Thanks

It won't hinder performance unless they cover the port hole, therefore causing blockage in air flow. You can get them and always trim away excess with scissors or tin snips if need be.

1.5" square might be too big to seal the ports properly. You can always try, though.

I just picked up a set of Felpro 1404's. They do a nice job. I never used the gaskets that came with the 2055's, didn't like the way the partially covered the ports (and the cheap material - one of the nits I have with the 2055's).
