my new Magnaflow cat back and home made y-pipe
I recently put in a new motor in my 91 Trans Am but in order to get the old motor out I had to hack up the old exhaust as well as new headers, because the last person to put an exhaust on it welded everything fro the headers back. Its a Magnaflow cat back system with a y-pipe that my step-dad and I made on our drive way. Just out of luck the bends I bought off of summit racing were even Magnaflow bends. Anyways it all 3" stainless from the headers back. I even bought an new set of Hooker competition shorty headers to mount up as well. The only thing I don't have shown is the last 90 degree bend we put in to connect the y-pipe to the cat back. When ever I get a new camera I'll post up the last pic.

this bend took us a few hours to perfect.

lucky for me I was able to find a premade y-bend/connector thingy to make bringing to two pipes together a little easier

Kinda hard to see but heres a pic of the tips I'll get a better pic again when I can get a new camera and some more day light.

Nice set up !
Is that Magnaflow cat back, part #16829?
If it is, thanks for the pics....that"s the one I'm installing in the spring.

The only issue I have with the exhaust is scrapping when I go over speed bumps, the little drain grooves when you enter a parking lot, or dips in the road. But I love the way it sounds.

what is the exhaust hitting it doesnt look like it hangs low enough to hit a bump or the road.
