bbc headers for sbc
i was just looking at some pictures of the hooker big block lt headers for our cars and i like how the wrap around the bottom of the car. would big block headers fit the sbc with minor mods or what would be needed to get these headers to work? i already have dougs lt headers just debating weather to put them on yet.

Re: bbc headers for sbc
big block heads have the same exhaust port configuration as the LS motors... the exhaust ports are evenly spaced from eachother... SBC heads are totally different. the have the outer 2 exhaust ports towards the outside and the 2 inner ports right next to each other... inother words they will not work. ud have to redeisgn the flange and primaries to fit. also BB headers are usually not smaller than 2" in primary size DIA. this is usually too big for a SBC... standard SBC primary DIA is 1 5/8" or 1 3/4". 1 3/4" being the higher flow for HIGH reving 350/355 or 383/400/427 SBC.

Well, should "not" say same, should at most say "similar".
I can post pics of BBC gasket on LS1 manifold if desired.
