http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
has anyone bought this kit? pics if you did and how hard was it to make it work? i have a set of headers but i dont know what kind they are and dont want to buy a y pipe that not going to fit them, they have a 02 bung on them and are ceramic coated, i was thinking about buying the summit kit to replace the stock y pipe and cat back and useing flowmasters

Re: summit racing header back kit?

I see post like this all the time, whats the point of headers if your gonna run a Y pipe with a single pipe fake dual exhaust system out the back???

Seems rather pointless, they say its great cause they wanna sell you parts.
port n polish some stock manifolds and you'll only be a few 2-3 HP off headers and not lose any room.

Your words

"and dont want to buy a y pipe that not going to fit them,"

why would you buy a Y pipe then ehy?

using a Y pipe is not real duals.

Re: summit racing header back kit?

Remember true dual exhaust has no Y pipe. They might have an X pipe down the line but thats for sound and whatnot. Each exhaust pipe bolts up to the headers, therefore no y-pipe is present.
