SMOG removal help question

so i had the air pump and tubing removed and stock logs welded shut, but id like to keep my cat on so i dont get an annoying rasp in my exhaust

but i heard removing the air pump will reduce the cats life and most likely ruin it within a few hundred miles

any replacement cats without smog pump provisions?

Have you noticed that cat delete cars have a rasp? I've never heard one in real life, just Brisk's video of his cat delete http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wi40rYz2lPU

Re: SMOG removal help question

If you want to remove smog from the air, the best way is to leave the parts on there and let them do their job.

Thank you for at least leaving the cat on there.

Yes you can get cats that dont use the AIR tube. Magnaflow makes them for sure, and I believe Random Tech and Catco should as well.

Your cat wont fail immediately without the AIR going to it. It just wont do its job as well.

i ran my car 2 years now with AIR taken out and i never had a problem. i am now replacing entire exhaust because i broke a y pipe to manifold bolt and with tax money said why not. got hooker 2055's new cat from magnaflow and cat back from magnaflow. the cat and headers have AIR provisions just capped it off in case in the future i might put the stuff on. thinking of moving out of florida. just nice to have options
