Exhaust tips "padding"
There is some sort of "padding", like foam insulation, inside my exhaust tips around the edges. I have a Flowmaster exhaust, I believe it is 80 series dual, and 3 or 4" exhaust tips welded on (I think 4 but not sure.)
Anyway, inside the tips, like I said, is some sort of padding material. Is this used for some practical reason, or to dampen the sound? If I remove it, will the sound increase any?
Just wondering, thanks for your time reading this.
