02 sensor question
I will be putting long tube heads on my car in a couple months and had a couple questions about the 02 sensor. My headers didn't come with a 02 bung and they are ceramic coated so I don't want to have to grind off the coating and weld in a bung and have to recaot the header again. So what I am asking is that if it would be alright if the o2 sensor was just put into the exhaust under the car? Does it matter if I just extend the sensor wire and place it farther down the exhaust? Will it matter if water and road grime sloshes onto it? And lastly will it read funny if I put it about a 6 inches give or take down the exhaust from the header? On the hooker instructions it says extend the o2 sensor wire so I am guessing there isnt much too worry about.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: 02 sensor question
Yes you can put the O2 sensor in the y-pipe. I highly recommend using a heated O2 sensor, so it stays hot enough to read accurately.
You'll have to
