alright im fabbing up my dual exhaust for my car right now and the drivers side pipe is going to going right by the fuel lines. should i be real worried about it heating up the fuel or should i wrap them in something to try and keep the fuel from soaking all the heat or should i build some sort of heat sheild to go around them? any idea's or what you have done would be very helpful thanks

I plan on wrapping mine, also because it is very close to the slave cylinder so I might I well keep going.

I wrapped my exhaust pipe with header wrap. The idea started with me wanting to protect the slave cylinder. Took the leftover and wrapped the pipe close to my fuel lines, only about 8-10inches though. I'm sure my muffler on that side still radiates plenty of heat up that way but I did all I could for it. That said, I've never noticed any problems of heat soak. Short of a fire though I dont know what that would be

the only thing about header tape is that it retains water

you need to heat coat them. that wrap sill just not cut it.
i got my done for 125.00 - jet coat costs about 250 with shipping.
look around you neck of the woods - pay the 100.00 bucks and get it done right.
