Cutout?
Hi, so ive got hooker 2055's and a flowmaster catback and where the cat should be im going to put a cutout there, any tips or tricks to doing this, the hooker y pipe has a 3 inch outer diameter so a 3 inch inner diameter should fit over it and the flowmaster has a flange to bolt onto the cat (which a pipe would still have to go between the cutout and the catback) what else should i be looking into or looking for. anyone else done this? if you have some pics of your setup would be awesome.

Re: Cutout?
Be a responsible hot rodder and leave the cat alone.
I put my cutout in the I-pipe just before it goes over the axle. That way when its open the exhaust goes straight out the back instead of having to go up and over into the muffler.

Re: Cutout?
I was going to leave it on there but I did not feel like cutting it off the old y pipe and fitting it onto the new one, so instead of just putting a pipe there I thought I would make it a bit more interesting and put a cutout there.

Re: Cutout?
I got the 2055s with a QTP 3" cutout right on the Y. I just had the cutout expanded to 3"i.d. to slip over the Y.
Pics in my sig link of how i made the cat bend work with the cut out.

Re: Cutout?
that looks very similar to what i was thinking of doing just with a flange on one end to bolt to the rest of the exhaust and the hanger by the cat
