Re: NEW EXHAUST ???

I believe the Magnaflow is Stainless Steel, unlike the aluminized steel Flowmaster uses... so that is the majority of the price difference... & durability...

Re: NEW EXHAUST ???

yes....I have muffler flow charts....flowmaster is on the BOTTOM of the list as far as flow.....magnaflow is decent.....the top of the list has a hooker max flow and the hooker aero chamber in second place.....the maxflow on a 2 1/2" pipe flows with 0 cfm restriciton.....just my opinion.....also the factory piping is a horrible restriction....if you replace the whole exhaust with mandrel bent piping, even if it's the same size...that'll help a lot.....just my two cents here...

Re: NEW EXHAUST ???

One thing I noticed about Magnaflow over just about every other kit is their design coming into the muffler. The over axle pipe goes into the rear of the muffler, then the tips exit at the front ends equally, which to me is a better flow as instead of the exhaust going to the front of the muffler then back towards where it came from then back out towards the back of the car.

I went with the 16829 kit. VERY NICE.

Here is the difference.

Flowmaster and many others design

Magnflow (I think better flowing) design

Re: NEW EXHAUST ???

Flowmaster makes a 1 in 1 out system too... Does Magnaflow? Ideally, that is a better flowing system than a 1 in 2 out system... of course, depends on muffler too...
