1 5/8 headers
Are they ok on a stock or near stock 350 TPI?
The Firehawk had them so that leads me to believe yes.....any thoughts?

Yeah 1 5/8" is fine for a lot of the TPI applications. Depends on what you are looking for in the car.
I've got 1 5/8" LTs on my 355, ported head, bigger cam, HSR engine...

My buddy has an all stock, low miles, 350 IROC. He'd probably only do exhaust, headers and maybe runners.

You liked the "off-road" TBI y-pipe/cat eliminator. Is that what you intended to do? If so, don't do that.

Re: 1 5/8 headers
i dont like the air tubes on my headers.
it makes it damn near impossible to torque down the bolts correctly and sufficiently.
also, they get in the way when doing spark plugs.
i dont have AIR, so i dont know why the prev owner put headers with AIR tubes on...
who knows
my two cents, unless you need them, go without AIR
