i have a 87 irocZ28 with a 5.7l tpi currently running aftermarket world product heads WRL-012250-2 with a mild edelbrock torqer cam and flowtech headers. my plan right now to help keep weight down and make a cheap easy to work with exhaust is to get the flowtech Y pipe, bolt a high flow cat to the Y pipe, and bolt this bullet style flowtech muffler BIG-50231FLT with turn down to the end of this cat. The exhaust is going to be probly less than half as long as a stock exhaust system how will that effect my power band. From what i gather with cut outs you lose low end torque and gain power higher in your power band because of the free flowing exhaust. Like i said i will have a cat in place with the glasspack so i should retain some of my back pressure. what do you guys think? anyone got any better suggestions as far as bullet style mufflers with a turn down?
