Exhaust Advice
Hey guys I have a chance to pick up some Heddman Shorty headers at a steal, the headers measure a 3 inch opening, what are the size on my stock manifolds and whats intailed to make these fit on my car and bolt up the rest of the exhaust? I have no cats and a flowmaster (I know I should change that). Is it a matter of getting some gaskets and a adapter pipe from the header to the rest of the pipe?
Thanks,
Darren

Re: Exhaust Advice
you stock openings to your cat at 2 1/4 inch. you might as well get them and use a reduction system to bring them down until you get the rest of the system.
does it have a y pipe?
and what do you call a steal? i got my 2055 with the y pipe for 175.00 - is it that good, or is it better.
check to see how much the y pipe costs if its not included.
if its a great deal then buy and hold them if you want.

Re: Exhaust Advice
Your stock exhaust manifolds have 1.875" outlets. FDon't bother trying to connect those Hedmans to your stock Y. Hedman sells the Y for about $120. Don't expect to feel any improvement from headers and Y alone.

Re: Exhaust Advice
I can get the headman shorty headers for $50! Not sure of the model number tho and no Y pipe. honestly I need to look under my car and see whats up there all I know is the previous owner cut the cats off and put up a flowmaster cat back exhaust system. So that means the stock Y pipe is probably still up there I would assume...
