I was wondering how my firebird would sound if i put a cherry bomb in place of the cat I dont have enough cash to put a new cat in and the car just has a pipe in place of the cat thats leaking. Would it sound louder with the cherry bomb in that spot? Its all i have to put in its place right now. thanks

 

no it would not be louder than a pipe because it will still muffle sound and pipe will not.

go to the exhause shop and have them weld in a new piece of pipe and you good to go.

 

most exhaust places won't do that.
i manage a midas and thats a no no. go to summit racing online and buy a high flow CATCO cat for 50-60 bucks there not that expensive.

 

I agree. and the cat is not going to do any real damage - just get a free flow one.

 

it will sound deep on the punch i have a similar setup to what you want you could check my videos out at www.youtube.com/kingbikerhead and let me know what you think is an awsome setup ill give it that, i notice a real good gain in top end it has a better throtle response, so yeah and i also have the flowmaster 1 chamber muffler, 2.5 inch pipe with a high-flow cat just to let you, aight.
