Hi everyone

My 92 Formula 350's exhaust isn't in the best shape and I'm looking at upgrading the system possibly towards the end of this summer if possible.

I use the car as a somewhat DD, and I'm in NY, so unfortunately I need to maintain emissions, so the stock manifolds or maybe emissions-legal headers are a must, as well as CATs.

I was wondering what you guys who have upgraded your systems before would recommend as far as the best bang for your buck.

http://magnaflow.com/02product/shope...ne=all&id=6904 I was checking out this one a lot because the price isn't terrible, and it sounds great in that sound clip. I would obviously still need the CATs and some emissions headers if I got them. It looks like a nice setup though.

I don't have oodles of money to spend so I'd prefer to keep it on the low to mid end of things. What systems would you all recommend? What should I expect to pay for a decent sounding system?

exhaust is a touchy subject. it all depends on what kind of sound you want and how much you want to spend. on the higher end of the market i love the sound of SLP and GMMG, but those are really expensive. if you are just going to replace it then a full bolt on kit from flowmaster is nice.

another option is just to go to a exhaust shop and have them fab you up one with ever you want. as for me i had a shop make a single 3 inch exhaust tubing with a cut out and spintech mufflers with dual outlets and i love how it sounds.

 

Yeah I was looking at a number of things. I saw a Borla exhaust that's like $800 or something, and it looks sweet and probably sounds good, but it's pricey.

And the exhaust in the link I posted has a sound clip to click on, and it sounded really sweet in the sound clip on the Formula they tested it on. That one's like $600.

An exhaust shop does sound like a good idea though. I might have to check for any around my area.
