stock pipe size

What is the stock size pipe for my 91 RS? I am asking this because i just bought an RS but it does not have a muffler, also would i need to weld the muffler on or can i bolt it with the clamps i am thinking of the summit muffler until i get money for a cat back system.

Re: stock pipe size

2 1/4

and if you want to get a head start run a 3 inch pipe from the cat - use a 31 inch 3 inch internal chambered exhaust as the mid pipe, then you can add a new 3 in cat and a set of 2055 headers.
the exhaust will cost you about 80.00 and another 50.00 for the pipes. then later add the cat and headers.

Re: stock pipe size

So i could go into 3in from the cat would the muffler shop do that or can i do that my self, because i was thinking of just adding a glasspack or muffler on it until i put my 350 and put the complete exhaust from headers to muffler

Re: stock pipe size

dont waste you money there are cheaper places to get a nice catback system. go here http://banditexhaust.com/catalog/adv...16829&x=11&y=8 and make them a bid of 275.00 and they will come back at 315 or so.
