Question on installing SLP Longtubes.
I know this is a third gen site but im sure someone in here has to have a fourth gen.
Im installing SLP longtubes on my 02 Z. The headers are already installed and the y-pipe and everything is loosely connected. No matter what i do i cannot get the new catback exhaust to line up correctly. The angle of the end of the y-pipe is so severe that i cant connect them. Shouldnt the ypipe come straight out to connect to the new system?
im at wits end with this. The project should be done.

Re: Question on installing SLP Longtubes.
what y-pipe? if its not SLP's, made for your headers, you shouldnt assume it will work.
all else fails, take it to a good muffler shop and have the fix it.

Re: Question on installing SLP Longtubes.
It is the SLP y-pipe. Im going to call them tommarro. Cause the ony way i can connect my cat-back system is without the exhaust crossmember connected.
I dont want to have the ypipe modified cause i dont want to ruin the warranty.

Re: Question on installing SLP Longtubes.
Already sent it back to SLP. I spent enough on the system that everything should mount up without paying more money to a local shop to fix the issue!!!!!!!!!!
Talked to SLP and they siad the ypipe wouldnt fit their Jig, and they dont know how it happened. They are shipping me a new one.

If you need help with 4th gen info, you can go to camaroz28.com or ls1tech.com . This website is for discussing thirdgen vehicles and thirdgen engines.
