edelbrock cat back exhaust

I've had and edelbrock catback exhaust for years and for some reason i can never get rid of it leaking. Mostly where it goes up to the cat it leaks. Did anyone have to modify it in anyway to get it to fit right. I am so sick of it always leaking im about to cut it off with my blue wrench and buy something else.

Re: edelbrock cat back exhaust

I've had my Edelbrock exhaust since 1999. It was my first mod on the Formula and its still bolted on. I've never expierenced any leaks or anything. It fit perfect, but for your problem, I've seen people accually put a small line of Gold RTV around the cat pipe, then bolted up the I pipe and letting it dry overnight. Your pipe may have been over tightned at one time causing distortion. May want to try it out.

Re: edelbrock cat back exhaust

I had their cat-back installed on my 91' Firebird and it bolted right up, no problems what so ever. Got nothing but compliments with it on there.
