About how much would it cost to have a shop do an exhaust

well tonight the cat disconnected from the y-pipe so my exhaust is going to get done sooner than spring.

i looked around and i havent really found the exhaust kit i want.

i want to have hooker shorties that go into two cats(if its not worth it then i'll just have a y pipe into one ), that go into a single 3'' pipe, right after the rear axle it splits into two pipes for 2 mufflers.

lets just say i purchase the headers and cat(s)

how much would it be (ballpark) for a shop to supply the pipes (unless theres somewhere i can get them) and labor?

I had a shop do true duals for $300. I supplied the mufflers, tips and header collectors in the Chicago suburbs.

BUT....

I have had nothing but trouble from my car since I got it back. At this point I don't think the shop had much to do with it, just coincidence but the price was great and the quality of the install is super good.

Plenty of already build, mandrel bent (most shops do crinkle bends), off the shelf cat-back kits, under $300 + whatever headers & y-pipe you buy to go with it.

well if i just have one cat then i could use the Y-pipe i found for the hooker headers.

now that im thinking about it, would 2 high flow cats have any difference than just a y pipe into one?

and the only exhaust thats close to what i want. is the GMMP one. its a single 3 inch then over the axle it splits into two pipes, but then those have a few bends and have bullet mufflers.

plus i think that kit was like 700 bucks or something

I like my LS1 cat-back. http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...d=195&catid=46

Bullet muffler under the rear seats, split rear pipes after the axle, exiting into 2 tips. (please ignore that my wing is off decklid needs work & paint)
