What y pipe would you use?

What y pipe would you use?
I have a l98 I'm got some headers for But I require a cat. And I was under the car today (recently purchased knowing it didnt have a cat). I had noticed that there the y pipe on it now runs like duals all the way back to behind the passenger seat basically.
The y pipe that came with the headers is a 2 1/2. and runs right into one right after the oilpan.
I would assume that would hurt power. was wondering if it would be worth it to run dual high flow cats. and have a y pipe made?
