new exhaust
i just installed a Cherry Bomb Extreme muffler in my Bird. it exits on the passenger side, in front of the rear tire. i used stainless mandrel bent pipes. the muffler is single 2.5" inlet, dual 2.25" outlet with 4th gen Camaro SS tips (the rectangular ones). it sounds pretty nice with a hollow cat
. its a little loud, but i don't mind at all bc it has a very nice tone to it. ground clearance suffered a little, but its not too bad.
i'll get some pics and video up this week.

Re: new exhaust
I seen that in your other thread and was wondering how it sounded, sounds pretty good but looks like ground clearance is going to be and issue.

Re: new exhaust
i've been driving it around with no ground clearance issues. its only about a 1/2" lower than my stock exhaust was.
Re: new exhaust
Ok check it out. That car was not designed for a muffler like that in the center of the car like that. Try and get one of those long thin cherry bomb mufflers that way it will sit up in there better. Or just do straight pipes. Or just get it done professionally if you have the money. Good luck.

Re: new exhaust
they're called glasspacks, and i had one before this muffler. they're WAY too long to fit in that location and i didn't like the way it sounded. the glasspacks have a bigger diameter than the muffler i have and it would hang even lower. i know these cars weren't designed to have a muffler there, but i made it work. i like how i have it and it finally sounds the way i want it to. the pros cost WAY too much and prob wouldn't do it exactly how i wanted. this cost me a little over $100 and its what i want. sure, ground clearance suffers a little, but thats not an issue for me.
