ok to make a long story short here goes. 85z28 carb (305), had rod knocking when i bought it($200) good deal so i couldnt pass up. Got a 350 short block off 84 vette and a set of mid 70's 882 heads. What headers can i use that will attach to factory Y pipe easiest as possible. most i have found wont attach to Y pipe or require extensive mods to make it fit. i am nickle and dime poor this "CHEAP" project has balooned to over 2500 and is kicking my a$$. i would prefer not to have to modify the ac bracket if i dont have too.

 

forgot to add replacement manifolds that would work with my current setup would be fine also if a found say factory manifolds off a 78camaro would they bolt into my current Y pipe? the stock manifolds just wont bolt up to these 350 heads #7 exhaust is spaced defferently which i am sure you knew....
