Replacing cats with round mufflers
Hello everybody,
as I will use my car on the race track only in the future I would like to exchange the cats (not even high flow...so should free some HP) with some round mufflers. I need to get a similar noise reduction because the race tracks over here a very strict about that.
Do you have any suggestions? Dynomax Bullet seems to be too loud...
It is a true dual 2.5" on the stock routing...all stainless. Engine specs in signature.
Greetings,
Simon

Bullets would help, but may not be as quiet as cats.
Summit makes a round glass pack. Moroso makes their Spiral round muffler.
If you want to see an interesting alternative, Google "aero turbine muffler".

Re: Replacing cats with round mufflers
I have heard nothing but good things about the Borla XR1 mufflers. There are stainless too so they will go well with your current setup.

This is what I'm thinking about getting when I junk the stock exhaust system on my car.
