Dual Exhaust Done On Stock Route! Pics Please!
Hey Everyone,
I finally decide to go with a dual exhaust but all the way back down the stock route. I played around with having side exhaust but friend's told me theres no room for a good clearence even though I go with a ovalized pipeing.
So I thought about on how to install the exhaust but how do people run too 2 1/2 inch pipeiping side by side I went to a muffler shop today and he told me its really going to be a tight fit. He said a 2 inch pipe would be perfect for a 305 exhaust so.
He asked me to gather all the photos I could come across on so I could show him how people do this and what I need to do to achieve this. Like taking stuff off or cutting.
If you have a set up like this please post all your pics that you can please.
Thanks. Tony.

Even for a 305 with mild mod's? I mean I'll look into it though.

I have 3" stainless true duals.... the only part we really had trouble routing was going under my spohn custom crossmember.. ughhh is it low to the ground there, probably like 3" off the ground but it's such a pain in the *** having to watch certain bumps in the road, NO speed bumps at all lol, and also the angle of certain driveways. In the rear it goes over my rear axle completely fine and looks awesome, sounds mean and loud as hell. I also had put in 2 sets of flanges for easy removal of my exhaust if needed. One set of flanges right after my hooker long tubes, then the second set right before the rear axle. This summer me and my fab guy were talking about possibly notching the frame a bit and tucking it up under a little better to get rid of that 3" of clearance i have. but basically like the guy before me said if your fabricater is good, and you guys have legit idea's it is completely possible.

I just picked mine up from the exhaust shop, I had 2.5 duals with duals cats and mufflers ran. 2.5 is going to be a tight fit, but it can be done. My car is lowered with sportlines and they where still able to get both the 2.5 pipes over the passenger side axle. If they say it cant be done they probally just arent skilled enough to get it done.

So far so good. I like it much better than the previous single 2.5 pipe flowmaster setup. As far as power gains, from a stand still it feels a little bit more powerful, but I really notice it around 2500 RPMs, it has a lot more go to it. Fitment wise im still very happy with it and havent bottomed out yet. Knock on wood.
