i have an 85 iroc ithat i rebuilt the motor and did a few things to... now i was putting on the stack exhaust manifolds and they wont bolt up to the vortec heads, the original 416 heads had two biolt holes at the back side of the head, and the vortec does not, now i see myself forced to spend the extra cash (i ws gonna do it evntually, just kinda low on cash and need the car running...) and get me some headers...
i just wanna make sure that if i get a set of headers for an 85 camaro that they will bolt up to the heads? if not what headers can i get to fit?

oh an the car has
vortec heads (520 casting stock, rebuilt)
summit 1103 cam
procomp intake
and (unfortunately...) an edelbrock 1406 500 cfm carb
outside of that it is stock...

SBC headers never use the outermost holes

 

wait wait wait. your saying my edelbrock TES headers wont bolt up to my Vortec headed 383?

 

You read it wrong. His manifolds dont work because the heads are missing an outside bolt. Headers fit because they use the universal SBC bolt pattern



Notice the second bolt hole on the farthest left edge of the head. his manifold needs this. Headers use the inside bolt holes
