GMMG equivalent?

Hi everyone

I searched the site for GMMG stuff quite a bit but I'm not sure if this exact topic has been discussed.

Although it's not happening until the summer since I'm at school and broke right now, my next big project for my car, aside from some Ronals I'm in the process of slowly paying for, is a nice new exhaust system.

I heard the GMMG exhaust system and think that it sounds sick. That being said, it is pretty pricey, and I saw that it's possible to buy the chambered mufflers and piping and do the same exhaust set up for a few hundred bucks less than what the actual GMMG system goes for, supposedly.

My question is that if this is possible, does anybody know the correct dimensions, diameter, type, etc. of the piping and the correct diameter, length, type, etc. of the mufflers and stuff that I would need to order in order to make a virtual replica of the GMMG kit? Has anyone actually done it? I plan on still running CATs because it has to pass emissions still, and it'll probably be running on stock manifolds unless doing the exhaust piece by piece instead of using the GMMG saves so much money that I can buy some emissions-legal headers lol.

I know that's probably a lot to ask. I was just wondering since I'm sitting here bored and daydreaming about my car since it's winter and I'm at school so I can't drive it lol.

Thanks!

DanJz

I just know you can use Sweet Thunder or Powersticks to make them. I would go true duals if i were you. Heres a Vid of a third gen with a Big cam with Sweet thunders http://videos.streetfire.net/video/M...-LTs_31667.htm I think im going this route with my Car once my engine is built. Hope this helps.

Re: GMMG equivalent?

wow that car sounds sick in that video.

So if I were to buy a couple Power Sticks or Sweet Thunder and bring it to an exhaust shop, would they be able to fab up the rest of the exhaust and that would basically be like a GMMG setup but for much less? That's what I'm thinking.

Now I just need to figure out the right width of Power Sticks I would need

Oh wow. That's not bad at all. That would be great lol, I'd love to save a few hundred on the setup so I can more easily pay for the other things, like the new CATs and y-pipe and maybe emissions-legal headers if I can swing it
