First post on TGO, I've been over at the GTA site. I've been in search for a cat back for a while now and I think I have narrowed it down to the one I want; Magnaflow 16829. Question is, is the muffler that comes with that system as loud as the 14267 muffler they have through Summit? I am looking for a nice rumble.

By the way. Car is a 1988 GTA, 5.7. Just got headers too, so they will be going on as well. Also, the y-pipe that came with the headers is only 2 1/2". Any way to expand it, or will I have to buy a new y-pipe?

not sure about the mufflers because i have the flowmaster cat back. but on the ypipe yes you will have to expand it pretty much all of the y-pipes for our cars are 2.5

Let me put this a different way. What muffler comes with the Magnaflow 16829 catback? And what muffler could I be able to make a direct replacement with to make it pretty loud? And how would I be able to expand my y-pipe to 3 inches?
