Tucking up muffler and tail pipe?
Anybody got pics of single muffler with the tailpipe tucked up? I was thinking of dumping the duals and going with a single. But I don't want the exhaust to be seen.

Re: Tucking up muffler and tail pipe?
Flowmaster makes a system that has a single exit. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FLO-17151/ I have it, along with a hooker max flow muffler. There's not much to see with the muffler behind the trunk well and the exit off to the side. The outlet sits up in behind the rear bumper skirt, so it can be almost completely hidden if you play with it a little.
This is the closest thing I have to showing what it looks (and sounds) like: http://www.youtube.com/user/dimented.../4/t6cXmHkANEM

Re: Tucking up muffler and tail pipe?
a truly horrible pic, but its the only on i have from the rear of my current exhaust

cant see the turn down from the rear, and the rest is painted black so it hides well.

Flowmaster American Thunder 80 series .I had to get on my knees to take this photo.I also cut back the tips about 3 in. so they tucked in better. Now all I need is some rolled tips.I think painting the muffler black would hide mine also.

Perfect I want no exhaust to be seen , only heard. Not to mention the single most likely flows much better rather then the "bunch-up-exhaust-smoke" until it comes out the two tail pipe design.
I ordered a Hooker aero chamber to replace my dual setup.

4" mufflex with magnaflow muffler. the tailpipe assembly is not part of the kit. it was built out of a 4" elbow.
ban barely get your fingner in between the pipe and the frame.
you cant see it from the back.

Re: Tucking up muffler and tail pipe?
I am trying to plan my exhaust on my 85 Camaro , but have a couple of questions....
1) From my headers , I would need to connect the two pipes to a Y-pipe collector and run that to the end, where there would be another y-pipe to split it back to dual exhaust, correct ?
2) I am going to use the Heddman headers from Summit that are short tube, and they have a 3" collector on them, is there any way to keep it 3" all the way back ?

Well, I've got mine installed and while it doesn't sound quite as good as yours, (I REALLY need to do the heads/headers/cam/intake now!), it sounds much better than it did.
