Anyone got any flowmaster 3" 40s?
On my car now I have a flowmaster 80series, which i love, but im gettin longtubes and the exhaust that I got from a buddy bolts straight onto the headers has about a foot of pipe then glass packs and turndowns(all the glass is basically out of them). Im thinkin this is going to be way to loud so im lookin for some 3" flowmaster 40s with turndowns to put on there to quite it down a bit and give it that deep throaty noise. Im also puttin hollowed out cats on it too.
If any of u guys happen to have a 40 or two PM me or if you know where I can get some cheap used ones from (no knock offs) let me know.

My 87 iroc with a 350 5 speed with only a 3inch catback with flowmaster 40 is louder then my 91 camaro with a 305 with edelbrock header m y pipe and flowmaster catback with an 80 series muffler.

Are you running dual exhaust? Sounds to me like you are
Dual 3" will be too much for a smallblock
I have, in my truck, a 355HP 350 with dual 2 1/2" with Flowmaster Delta Flows
I tried running 40s but was afeared of being pulled over
The ones I have now are 50 Series ( stainless ) and they are much better for noise but still sound great.
I later added a crossover pipe. It improved idle stability and reduced the noise a bit more
