Re: LT1 Starter that clears 2210 Headers

I have an Advance Auto rebuilt LT4 mini starter that fit perfectly. Just go in and ask for a starter for a starter for a 1996 Corvette with the 6 speed. Make sure you get the one for a 6 speed as all 96 6 speed vettes got the LT4 and thus the ministarter. I needed to get a starter shim kit as well. For some reason I didn't need this on the 95 lt1 that this starter and flywheel were attached to in my old car. But I did on my 91 block...Just so you don't need to make a second or third trip for stupid stuff.

Be warned, I had to rerun my starter wires and I also reran the positive cable from the starter to the battery. Both were simple tasks but ones that I some how missed in all of the install threads that I read.
