Installing exhaust

Ok, this may be a simple question. I am installing a cat back system like in the picture. How do I get the long pipe over the top of the axle? I've spent a great deal of time laying under the car staring at it. Is there a secret to getting this over the back axle?

Re: Installing exhaust

Do you have the jackstands under the rear axle or on the frame? If they are on the axle, move them to the frame to let the axle hang down farther. Other than that, just put the main pipe under the car and then fish the back section over the axle. You might have to turn it a certain way but just keep trying different angles and it will go in. I put a 3" catback on a Camaro about 5 or 6 years ago and I dont remember it being bad at all to get the pipe over the axle.

I ahve it jacked up and supported on the frame. I can get it over the axle but can't get it through the small area over the top of the two suspension cross members behind the axle. do you think I should remove those?

I just put this exhaust on my car a few weeks ago. Yes you should remove the crossmembers behind the axel. It will make it so much easier. Did you send in your rebate?
