Anyone tried running these?

Another flea-bay item but i was just looking at the price tag for a set of 1-3/4" longtubes. Has anyone ran these? I would be curious on fitment and dyno/.25 mile numbers.

whatever you go with, keep your weather conditions in mind... make sure they're treated for your neck of the woods...

Were you wanting the ceramic coated version? The picture on that ad shows ceramic headers but the price is for the uncoated version. If you want the ceramic coated ones and dont want to buy from E-Bay, you can get them from Summit for the same price actually maybe a few bucks cheaper because the Ebay place wants $22 for shipping.

Re: Anyone tried running these?

Dougs headers and exhaust components are not just "Flea-bay". Summit as well as other mail order companys sell Dougs also. I had dougs 2.5'' Y-pipe on my 85' iroc with a set of hooker comp short tube headers and the welds were strong, clean, and crisp. Never had any blow through holes in the welds for the 2 years I had it on. I live on long island and i never had any problems rusting or anything. Dougs are not as top of the line as some of the other company's out there but IMO they make some real solid stuff and I wouldnt mind dealing with them again. I like to stay away from chrome finishes they tend to chip and oxidize easily when they aren't from a quality manufacturer.

Agreed. Doug's has been around longer than a lot of you have been alive.

As often happens, once the original owner is bought out, it's a free-for-all.

Re: Anyone tried running these?

yeah but they're owned by pertronix now, which is another quality aftermarket company. I would trust them. no first hand experience but I've heard many great things about dougs

Re: Anyone tried running these?

Dam i didn't know these were such good headers. Doug headers are mentioned too often from what i see so i wasn't sure whether they were a Chinese off take of something better. I have been looking at hooker's 2210 are these somewhat comparable or better even? My main idea is to get a nice set of long tubes for cheap that fit my 86 iroc.
