header choice

first of all; hello everyone!!! now to business. So i recently installed a 3" catback system into my camaro, the flowmaster american thunder series with the 3" piping into the dual 3" pipes out backn to be exact. So after i was done installing the system and firing it up for the first time i was dissapointed that it was not as loud as i thought it was going to be. So im in the midst of getting my converters taken out since they are popping like crazy, but im also considering slapping a set of headers on there since im going to be messing with the exhaust system. My only dout now is whether the long tubes are easier to do on my 91 z28, or would there be issues due to which i would be better off doing shorty style. could anybody fill me in on the clearance issues with both, if any as well as your experiences with either style. thank you

Re: header choice

Stick with the shortys, the ground clearance is better and they're easier to connect to what you've already replaced. Long tubes aren't worth the effort on a street car.

Hooker 2055's are your best bet. They are emissions legal shorties but it's easy to block off the emissions stuff if you don't need/want it. And the best thing is they are a true "bolt on"...mine were strait forward and required nothing that didn't come in the box to hook up.
