Re: exhaust manifold question/help
far less likely that one will twist off in the head-
far less rust and heat there. Haven't looked at a '91,
but if some of the manifold bolts have a threaded end
in order to hold a bracket,dipstick tube,ETC.with a nut
as the older thirds have, those can be a bother....
Often as you try to remove the nut,the manifold bolt will also try to turn and bend/twist the attached
brackets...

Re: exhaust manifold question/help
I replaced both manifolds in my 1989 a couple fo months ago and the manifold bolts came out much easier than I expected. Hope for the same with yours.

Re: exhaust manifold question/help
ok well im half way through this project. the manifold bolts came out easy, i did soak them all night with liquid wrench thou. but apparently the power steering pump needs to come out cause there is one bracket attached to the exhaust manifold bolt. i have all the brackets unbolted from the motor and exhaust, and i dont see anymore. the 3 bolts behind the pump at the bracket, and then 2 bolts that attach the front bracket to the motor.. is there more? the pump wont budge.
