I was curious how much would it cost for a mechanic to completely install an entire exhaust? What about if you did it yourself? For the sake of argument well say an 84 Camaro z28, V8 but any 3rd gen Camaro is fine. You pick the type of exhaust.

 

Well depending on what exhaust you pick, I'm guessing anywhere from $500 to $2000. A stock exhaust from a muffler shop to a high end custom made mandrel bend stainless steel 3" to 4" pipe single into 2, or dual exhaust from headers to tips. If you did these yourself you would probably save up to about half the price, as labor cost are quite high.
