straight pipe for cat?
our exhaust is way to low on our cars. the flange that holds my cat keeps scrapping on inclined driveways or entering gas stations
im done with emissions forever i just wana replace it with a straight pipe.
do they make any specifically or just get a 3inch pipe to match and install it?

Re: straight pipe for cat?
basically. A straight pipe will do it. They also sell a catalytic converter with a straigth pipe through it for visual effects. Removing the converter is illegal in some states (i dont know if its illegally federal wise). Just to let you know.

Re: straight pipe for cat?
thanks ill look into it.
from how i thought it worked. once your car is 25yrs old or later your done with emissions and once done with emissions you can start tweaking the engine and exhaust since there are no longer emission tests
but thansk for the heads up

You don't have to get tested anymore, but that does not make it legal to start removing the emissions stuff.
Visually, the parts still have to be there to pass. They just won't be doing the sniffer portion of the test anymore.
