im running edelbrock shorty headers with the smog tubes going into dual hollowed out cats then back into a single 3inch or 3 1/2 inch pipe. What would be a realy clean but loud sounding muffler? I was lookin at a cherry bomb glasspack and was thinkin about welding it in where the stck exhaust went, does anyone know if it will sound decent? If not any opinions would be great.

 

glass packs suck.

borla's sounds nasty, so do Spintechs. I have a Dynatech 4" in/out muffler and it sounds really good, and not horribly loud either. I have 2, 3" bullet cats as well.

you may want to put real cats on since you are in Cali. Besides, the smell will get annoying after a while.

 

id say for a good price (if your on a budget like i am) and you want a quality product go for the flowmaster super 10 series. the loudest street legal performance muffler flowmaster makes and its still a pretty clean sound check it out on youtube im sure you can find some good examples....flowmaster has a video of it on youtube too
