Re: Hooker super comps

You better have a stout motor to put them on or your gonna lose performance and HP rather then gain it. The larger headers will shift you hp and torque up some rpm.

Its a 355 with procomp heads and a 253/253 .560/.560 cam. Its a 3-4k rpm+ motor

Re: Hooker super comps

If its basiclly for the track go for the super comp's. If its a street car its a toss up.

Its a street strip showcar that's built to sound and look like a racecar. The main goal is to scare mustangs first and go fast later

Re: Hooker super comps

I would stay with a 1-5/8 header and you will pickup the lower rpm torque for street use since your probably going to be driving around at 2k rpm anyway. Since you have a t5 and a 4.10 it should be pretty good on the street all ready.

Re: Hooker super comps

I had them. Pain in the neck to put in but they did the job real well. If you have a cam like that than you should have already had these headers IMO.

1.75" primaries should be mandatory for boost

Re: Hooker super comps

I was also thinking of buying the Hooker Super Comps. For a little extra money. I think the Ed Quay headers my be a better fit. Anyone have experience with these?

Yes, the fit is awesome for no exhaust system. They exit right before the tranny crossmember like 2210's. I have a thread concerning these on this board. I had to fab up a double hump crossmember for get exhaust to work. But then again I had no bends in my exhaust.

I found your thread shortly after I posted that. They look great. My mind is made up.
