Hooker max flow exhaust sound
I was curious how my exhaust sounds from the outside, so I made a vid with some drive-by's. To my surprise, for an exhaust thats completely open, its actually pretty quiet and sounds stock. Basically I have hooker 2055 headers, 3" cat-back from flowmaster w/ no cat, dynomax bullet muffler serving as a resonator located just before it goes over the axle, and a 24" hooker max flow muffler, which is basically just a piece of perferated SS tube with fiberglass around it. The outlet is a single 3" on the drivers side.
The drive-bys are at 1/3 throttle, so it does start to get loud when you get on it.

Thanks!sounds great.I`ve been wanting to hear one of those.I`m gonna buy one when i get some extra cash.I talked my buddy mike into buying one for his LS1/T56 combo but he hasnt installed it yet cause his exhaust isnt on the car yet.
How much do you think the resonator changes the sound.

Re: Hooker max flow exhaust sound
The resonator helps lower the sound a little bit. its not a huge difference, but it was noticable when I installed it. It reduced it by maybe a couple of decebels, and took out some of the higher frequency sound, making the exhaust sound a little deeper.
I dont know if hooker still makes the larger 24" one, so the 18" will probably be louder than what I have as it has less internal volume to dampen the sound.
