alright im about to drop my 5.3 in the car for a test fit to build the exhaust and run fuel lines and im wanting some advice on building my system. i will be running stock ls1 manifolds for now no cat and i have a 3.5in i pipe with a cutout i had left over from my 82 trans am debating on using that and then just buy a 4thgen 3in over axle piece from summit and i have a 14in magnaflow 3in center/offset and plan to run just one tucked up 3in tail like ive seen many do. i may decide to just ditch the cutout and buy all the prebent pipes for a 4thgen i pipe like around $100 for both pieces from summit but still unsure what i want. my biggest concern is building my y pipe. i have a flowmaster merge 3.5 to two 2.5 pipes but kinda debating to run the pipes down from the manifolds and meet up with the merge where the factory cat was to help ground clearance. what do you guys think? any suggestions, pictures of ideas? anything will be greatly apreciated.
