flowmaster exhaust mufflers. need opinion

i have a 91 camaro with a t-5 tranny. it has a built sbc 410 with shorty hooker headers and true duel 2.5 in exhaust coming soon with and x pipe out the back with no cats.

i need advice on which muffler would have better flow/ louder system/. im trying to decide between the super 44 series or the super 10 series. anyone running these mufflers? how well does the 44 fit near the gas tank? i realize 10s are small enough to fit anywhere just worried about it being to ridiculous.

44 are deep and are pretty loud alone. I was thinking the same as you and I think single chambers wont do much of any muffling

im using the flowmaster delta single chamber race muffler and i love it. i think they are pretty much the same as the super 10 series. they sound beautiful.

Re: flowmaster exhaust mufflers. need opinion

Well i had hooker shortys and used the mufflers with a true dual set up. It sounded great. Right now im running hooker LTs and havent hooked up the rest of the exhaust but i still plan on using my old mufflers for a true dual set up. My motor is a mild 350 with a hot cam. Theres more info on my profile. I ran the mufflers under the rear stock location without issue since they are so small. Heres a pic of my old exhaust tubing, you can see where it goes over the axle and then off to the mufflers. It basically sounded like a healthy corvette, i was really pleased. There isnt alot of droning, it sounds nice and raspy and overall accentuates that great v8 sound.

For my LTs im probly just going to dump the exhaust before the axle, im not big on having flashy exhuast tips and i would rather the system stay hidden. Plus it would allow me to go to a full 3inches. Check out the sticky up top theres plenty of pics for ideas.
