350 vortec swap, what exhaust?
Having a '99 350 vortec rebuilt to install in my '92 TA vert. Want to install complete ( legal) exhaust system. What headers will work? Ypipe? I guess from there any good cat / catback system will complete the exhaust work.

How "legal" is "legal"?
Most Vortec swaps AREN'T strictly "legal", because those heads have no exhaust crossover passage to feed the EGR.
Beyond that, the manifold will have to be changed, since Vortec heads have their intake ports in a different place. A pre-Vortec intake often won't even COVER them, let alone MATCH TO them. So there's yet another area where "legal" has the opportunity to take a left turn into the weeds.
If you can be more specific about what other adaptations you're making, we can be more specific about what exhaust to use. But naf is 100% correct, any exhaust that fits any SBC will fit any other SBC including one that happens to have Vortec heads on it, since their exh ports are the same as the exh ports on any other SBC.

Re: 350 vortec swap, what exhaust?
I have found that not all exahust manifold for a SBC will bolt up. I am finishing up a Vortec swap coming from a 305 TBI. The truck manifold won't fit within the frame rails, so I was looking at bolting up the 305 manifolds for now. The bolt pattern on the right side is different for the rear most bolt. The ports line up, the bolt pattern does not.
The series I race in penalizes you for aftermarket headers, so I am trying to figure out what OEM manifolds will bolt up and also fit in the bay/tunnel/rails.
