Need help on Y guys

Am posting again seeing am getting no help, this time ill ask the question in a different form

I need a Y pipe to complete the exhaust. After talking to Dyno don i dont know if i can wait long enough to get one from him, as its not avail yet.

Whats the best Y Pipe to put on Dyno Dons headers, besides the one he makes? I seen Hawks third gen Mac Y pipe, but am not sure if it will be restrictive on my goal to hit 500hp 383. Theres no good exhaust shops to make a custom one where my car is located, and am not dragging the thing 250miles back and forth on a flat bed for a custom pipe.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Just keep in mind i cant put no BS edelbrock y pipe on this motor

Re: Need help on Y guys

you can't wait for dyno don to make one designed for his headers

you can't bring it to a shop to have a custom one built

you can't fabricate one yourself with a pipe bender and welding

sorry, I have to punt

you see, there really was advice, but being impetuous, you can't see the answer because it is right in front of your own eyes. I simply stated the obvious. But, since you can't draw the same conclucsion that most who read this thread already have, let me spell it out

w a i t f o r d y n o d o n

unless you can drive/push/transport the vehicle, that is your only choice short of swapping headers unless you quickly learn how to build your own

Now that you've either calmed down or are nodding in agreement because of how obvious it is, lemme explain why.

Places that make "stuff" are in business. When you buy "stuff" from Summit, Jegs, et al, the manufacturer has determined that a market exists for the product and built in volume.

You are looking for a very specific application, namely a generally available (GA) Y pipe to attach to custom fabricated headers and are looking to the general market for the solution.

Sorry, when i read your post all of that was quickly processed thus your solution is clear as day

good luck
