to the guys with bbc swaps which ones are the best? need to support 550 hp at least. was looking at the hookers but I've heard horror stories.

I have the hookers, no problems so far. Some say 1 and 7/8 primaries limit you, but mine seem fine. I have a wider moroso oil pan, the driverside touches it but a couple shaping dings with a ballpeen and it was fine. I also have a pa racing k member, but headers fit before I had it also, i just had to set the headers in and lower the engine into them.
